An opportunity to pray in the true and real presence of Jesus
“Jesus waits for us in this sacrament of love. Let us be generous with our time in going to meet Him in adoration and in contemplation that is full of faith and ready to make reparation for the great faults and crimes of the world. May our adoration never cease.” Saint John Paul II
Eucharistic Adoration is an affirmation of our faith, giving witness to our belief that God is truly dwelling with His people.
Through Adoration, Jesus calls us to a personal relationship promising those who remain tightly bonded to Him will bear much fruit, for without Him, we can do nothing. Through this personal relationship, we are inspired and strengthened to take on life’s challenges with a new attitude.
Let us love being with the Lord! Let us offer our concerns, troubles, petitions, joys, gratitude, and aspirations.
“To look upon the Cross is to remember how Christ loved us, but to look upon Jesus in the Eucharist is to know how Christ loves us now.” Blessed Mother Teresa

“Assemble the people, men, women and children – that they may hear the law and learn it and carefully observe all the words of the law” (Deut. 31:12).
It is through the Ministry of Lector where God’s living word continues to be proclaimed. As lectors, our task is that of the sower who generously casts the seed on the ground.
Jesus tells us “whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.” When we proclaim the word of God it comes alive and in turn you become the means by which God’s word touches the hearts of those assembled together. Perhaps only a few seeds will take root at any time, but that is certainly something.
Lectors proclaim the first and/or second readings and occasionally the Psalm and General Intercessions at mass and other liturgies through the year with reverence. Our role is not merely to read but to bring the word of God to life for the assembly.
“He stood up to read and there was given to him the book of the prophet Isaiah. He opened the book and found the place where it was written, ‘the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor … All wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth” (Lk. 4: 16-22)

More than ‘Helpers’
“Therefore, in the liturgy, you are much more than simple “helpers of the parish priest.” Above all, you are servers of Jesus Christ, of the eternal High Priest.” Saint John Paul II
As disciples of Jesus Christ, all Christians, young and old, are called to service. A service that moves beyond simply being a helper and in turn also provides an example of prayerful and reverent participation in the liturgy. A participation and practice of self-giving live that characterized our Christian lifestyle.

Environment creates that special setting that helps prepares everyone to hear the message of God.
Our Church Environment committee works with the pastor in the decoration and arrangement of the Church for the various seasons of the Liturgical Year and for special celebrations. We assist in the celebration of each liturgical event by decorating our church in accordance to the liturgical calendar of events and colors. Our goal, to bring awareness to the meaning of each color associated with each and in turn to celebrate fully in our Catholic faith.
